TBH pencil and paper are very hard to let go of. But its all relevant to price and needs vs wants. But portability does seems rather attractive.
I used to use a wacom bamboo and i could tell the difference in pressure point in huge areas with smooth texturing. If you want the Cintiq get the Cintiq but Wacoms prices are inflated out the ass, you are paying 1500 for the name. I do however don't like the 13" restriction that might come of a device like this. Have you looked at the new surface pro 3 at all? it seems similarly comparable to the Wacom 13" Tablets running windows (although surface pens are shit). I have only ever used the intouos tablets personally and they have this textured feeling to them, i suppose to simulate paper? I looked into the touch version of the cintiq but ive seen major drivers issues with adobe and i don't won't that at all. Im a sucker for quality and both don't seem to have much of a quality issue but the Cintiq does have a nice exterior rubber grip style exterior and a very flexible stand with rotation etc. Other then that not much else parts them other then PRICE!!!! like less then half. Spec wise both are similar, the Hiuon lacks the in-depth drivers and pen configurations and buttons on the side.Īlso one more flaw on the Huion is the inability to rotate the screen and cords do get in the way when tilting on low. Its time for me to stop a lot of gaming time and turn it into what i used to be good at and maybe a career change down the line.
